Overview[]
Season 8 features 16 contestants, separated into two tribes. One of the key features of this season is the use of the "Midway Island", which allows both tribes to be connected and talk to each other, and also for one tribe member to mutiny to the other tribe each day. After the merge, this was rendered null and void thanks to there only being one tribe, so this was replaced with a vote nullifier, which allowed for one person to nullify another person's vote once every three days. Another twist was the hidden immunity idol, which, when taken, triggered the Outcast Twist - a feature similarly seen on Survivor: Pearl Islands, where one contestant previously voted out could be voted back into the game.
